This week, Year 3 and Year 5 travelled to Plymouth to ‘Sleep with Sharks’ at the National Marine Aquarium.
Both groups had a brilliant visit! They found out lots of interesting facts about sharks and other marine wildlife; watched ‘Finding Dory’ in front of the large shark tank; had a midnight feast, and even attracted sharks with the electrical impulses from their heartbeats!
The children also enjoyed bowling, where they showcased their skills with many ‘strikes’ and ‘spares’; watched ‘Boss Baby’ in the cinema, and climbed Smeaton’s Tower – the striped lighthouse on Plymouth Hoe.
The two residentials were absolutely brilliant! Well done to the children for their exemplary behaviour throughout, which helped make the trips so enjoyable, and a huge ‘Thank you!’ to the school staff who supported the residentials and made them run so smoothly!
